Guangzhou, China – The all-new small electric SUV Changan Q05 will arrive in UK as the Changan E06 in early 2027. As the third fully electric model in the Chinese manufacturer’s European portfolio, it combines dynamic European design with advanced technology and generous interior space. Its lithium-iron-phosphate battery provides sufficient energy for a driving range of up to 450 kilometres.
Big stage for Changan: From 21 to 30 November, China’s fourth-largest car manufacturer is presenting a wide range of highlights at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. Changan showcases more than 20 new digital and intelligent products, along with more than ten cutting-edge technologies. A central attraction at the Changan stand is the all-new fully electric small SUV Changan Q05. The family-oriented, intelligent, and future-oriented Q05 will also be available in UK from early 2027 as the Changan E06.
"The Changan E06 represents another important step in strengthening our presence in Europe,” says Ethan Yin, Executive Deputy General Manager of Changan Europe Business Unit. “As the latest member of the Changan product portfolio, our new all-electric small SUV underscores our commitment to providing accessible and innovative mobility for everyday needs.”
European design and a spacious interior in the Changan E06
From early 2027, the Changan E06 will become the third fully electric model in Changan’s UK portfolio. Split headlights, semi-recessed door handles, and a continuous light strip define the design of this 4,435-millimetre-long, fully electric small SUV, which has been developed specially to meet European customer expectations.
The interior of the E06 is likewise tailored to European preferences. Physical buttons complement the 15.6-inch touchscreen on the centre console and the 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster, ensuring optimal ergonomics. With a wheelbase of 2,735 millimetres, Changan’s latest fully electric small SUV also offers one of the most spacious interiors in its class. Up to 800 millimetres of rear knee room and a maximum luggage capacity of 545 litres in standard configuration make the Changan E06 an ideal companion for long journeys.

Up to 450 kilometres of range in the new Changan E06
With 200 kW / 274 PS, the electric motor of the E06 delivers ample power for every driving situation. Its 61.7 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery enables a driving range of up to 450 kilometres on a single charge. In addition to its efficient drivetrain, the Changan E06’s low aerodynamic drag, achieved through features such as its closed front end and intelligent, actively adjustable air intake, contributes to energy consumption of just 16.0 kWh per 100 kilometres. When charging is required, up to 11 kW is available at AC charging points, and up to 162 kW at DC fast-charging stations.
With its lithium-iron-phosphate battery and its full capability to meet the EuroNCAP five-star rating, the new Changan E06 meets the highest safety standards. Like all Changan models, the small SUV reflects the brand’s dedication to exceptional reliability. This commitment is reinforced by a seven-year or 160,000-kilometre vehicle warranty, and an eight-year or 200,000-kilometre warranty on the drive battery.
All-new E06: a fully fledged entry into Changan’s all-electric model range
With the new E06 small SUV, Changan will offer a fully fledged entry-level model in its all-electric product range in UK from early 2027. Together with the fully electric C+-segment SUV, the Changan Deepal S05, and the all-electric D-segment SUV, the Changan Deepal S07, the line-up will comprise three model series. By the end of 2025, Changan aims to be active in more than ten European markets, including Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. As part of its ‘In Europe for Europe’ strategy, Changan plans to invest more than two billion euros in its European business by 2030. By the same year, the number of sales and service locations across Europe is expected to exceed 1,000, and Changan aims to employ more than 1,000 local staff.
The company has operated design and development centres in Turin and the United Kingdom since 2001. Two parts centres in the UK and the Netherlands, run in cooperation with logistics specialist Kühne + Nagel, ensure fast and reliable spare-parts availability.
