Birmingham, UK: Changan UK, a subsidiary of the global car manufacturer and pioneer in sustainable mobility, today announced it has surpassed the milestone of 60 signed dealer sites across the United Kingdom, further expanding its nationwide network and firmly establishing the brand as an accessible, long-term presence in the British automotive market.

The achievement marks a significant moment in Changan UK’s journey, having entered the market in September 2025 with the launch of the electric SUV Deepal S07, followed by the Deepal S05 in March this year. In just over six months, the brand has grown from its flagship showroom at Lookers’ Star City in Birmingham to a network of over 60 sites, spanning every corner of the UK.

Gold-standard training and customer experience

To ensure every customer receives a premium, consistent experience, all dealer teams undergo comprehensive training at Changan UK’s Technical Excellence Centre in Birmingham, before opening their doors. This covers everything from in-depth product knowledge to aftersales service processes and customer care standards.

The Birmingham centre serves as the operational hub for technical learning and customer support best practice, sitting alongside Changan’s long-standing UK research and development operations. The facility is home to more than 100 engineers focused on powertrain optimisation and technology advancement, giving Changan’s UK dealer partners access to unparalleled technical expertise.

Committed to competitive insurance and customer reassurance

Changan UK is also working closely with Thatcham Research, the UK's automotive safety and research centre, to ensure its vehicles meet established British insurance and repair standards. This collaboration covers repair methodology, parts pricing and the technical data that insurers use to set premiums, with the goal of ensuring Changan customers benefit from competitive insurance group ratings from the outset.

Beyond Thatcham, Changan UK is engaging directly with UK insurers to build confidence in the brand, its vehicles and the aftersales infrastructure that supports efficient, cost-effective repairs. For customers, this means the total cost of EV ownership with Changan is designed to be as attractive as the purchase price.

Supporting the network with class-leading parts availability

Underpinning Changan UK's ever-expanding dealer network is a dedicated UK parts warehouse located close to East Midlands Airport, operated in partnership with global logistics specialist Kuehne + Nagel. The location ensures swift, reliable parts distribution to dealers nationwide, minimising vehicle off-road times and delivering the responsive aftersales support that customers expect. Combined with BNP Paribas Personal Finance UK as Changan's partner for dealer and retail finance, the brand has built a robust operational infrastructure designed to give both dealers and customers long-term confidence in the ownership experience.

Changan UK vehicle line-up

Changan UK currently offers two models in the UK market: the Deepal S07, the brand’s flagship electric SUV priced from £39,990, and the newly launched Deepal S05, priced from £37,990. Both vehicles combine European-inspired design, advanced intelligent technology and competitive pricing, supported by a seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and an eight-year/124,000-mile battery warranty.

PHEV versions of both the S07 and S05 will follow later this year, further broadening Changan’s appeal to UK consumers, with other model launches to follow.
