Amsterdam/Veenendaal – Changan will begin sales in the Netherlands in partnership with Emil Frey Nederland. The Changan Deepal S05 and Deepal S07 will be the first models available on the Dutch market. Both vehicles will make their public debut on 12 and 13 November at the Utrecht Fleet Expo.
Emil Frey Nederland will be Changan’s exclusive partner for sales and service of Changan vehicles at selected locations across the Netherlands. This partnership is another milestone in Changan’s strategy to be present in a total of more than ten European markets by the end of the year. Changan, China’s fourth-largest automobile manufacturer, and Emil Frey Nederland formalised their collaboration today with the signing of a cooperation agreement.
“Emil Frey’s extensive experience in automotive sales and service makes them our partner of choice for our launch in the Netherlands,” says Ethan Yin, Executive Deputy General Manager Changan Europe. “Together with Emil Frey we are laying the foundation for Changan’s long-term success in the Netherlands.”
“Changan’s product portfolio impressed us from the very beginning”, says Simon Luijckx, CEO at Emil Frey Nederland, “As one of the four major Chinese Automobile groups Changan has a history of more than 40 years car manufacturing. Their ‘In Europe for Europe strategy’ underlines deep understanding of different market needs, important to be successful.”

In Europe for Europe
As part of Changan’s ‘In Europe for Europe’ strategy, its models embody a seamless blend of global innovation and European design. With European customer preferences firmly in focus, Changan has operated its European Design Centre in Turin since 2001 and its European Research and Development Centre in the UK since 2010. This local expertise, combined with extensive testing and validation, enables Changan to precisely tailor its products to the needs of European customers. At both sites, the company has also established dedicated training centres for dealers to ensure a consistently high standard of customer service across all markets.
The Changan model portfolio for the Netherlands will initially include two fully electric SUVs: the Deepal S05 in the C+ segment and the larger Deepal S07 in the D-segment. Both models combine range, safety, and practicality with advanced charging capabilities of up to 200 kW. The S05 made its European debut at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich and offers a driving range of up to 485 kilometres (WLTP), while the S07 reaches up to 475 kilometres.
Changan line-up makes its Dutch debut at Fleet Expo, Utrecht
The Changan Deepal S05 and Changan Deepal S07 will make their public debut in the Netherlands on 12 and 13 November at Fleet Expo in Utrecht. The leading trade fair for fleet and mobility management provides the ideal platform to introduce Changan’s first vehicles to the Dutch market.
Every Changan vehicle comes with a seven-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty, alongside an eight-year or 200,000-kilometre battery warranty, underscoring the brand’s commitment to long-term quality and reliability. Including delivery costs, the Changan Deepal S05 will start from €38,990, while the Deepal S07 will be priced from €45,990.
Strong Aftersales Partnership Between Changan and Emil Frey
Changan also is aware of the critical importance of reliable after-sales operations. For fleet and commercial customers, vehicles form the backbone of their business success. That is why minimizing downtime from maintenance or repairs is a top priority. To ensure swift and efficient aftersales service, Changan operates one of its two European spare parts centres in Helmond, near Eindhoven, in cooperation with logistics specialist Kühne + Nagel. This ensures fast parts availability and significantly shortens maintenance and repair times. Emil Frey’s proven focus on quality and efficiency in maintenance and repair complements this approach.
