Changan Deepal S07: Introducing the brand’s first model for Europe

Munich – Changan, one of China's top 4 car manufacturers, known for its many years of expertise in automotive engineering, launched its first model for the European market, Changan Deepal S07, back in spring. The all-electric SUV blends Italian design sophistication, UK engineering expertise and advanced, globally renowned electric vehicle technology.

Designed at the company's Italian design centre in Turin, the Changan Deepal S07 reflects a distinctly European aesthetic and driving dynamics, attracting attention with its elegant lines and modern design. The sporty silhouette, the flowing transitions and the striking LED light elements give it a dynamic yet elegant appearance.

The narrow headlights with striking daytime running light signature and the continuous LED strip at the rear, which emphasizes the width of the vehicle, set special accents. The aerodynamically optimized body with integrated door handles and a discreet rear spoiler underline the sporty character of the Deepal S07, coming at a total width of 1930mm, a length of 4750mm and a height of 1625mm.

Technology that impresses

The Deepal S07 is a technology center on wheels equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, completely solving the pain points of traditional car infotainment system, allowing users to enjoy smooth operation. At the center of the cockpit is the 15.6-inch touchscreen, which can be turned towards both the driver and the front passenger for optimum usability. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are of course integrated and enable seamless connection to the smartphone.

A highlight is the innovative AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-Up Display), which projects important information such as speed, navigation instructions and safety warnings directly into the driver's field of vision. This allows the driver to always keep an eye on the traffic.

Intelligent gesture control, a 360-degree camera system with transparent chassis view for parking and numerous driver assistance systems ensure a maximum of comfortable assistance at Autonomous Driving Level 2. The systems include Integrated Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) to make driving safer and more relaxed.

An interior that lets you feel at ease

The spacious interior of the Deepal S07 welcomes drivers and passengers with a feel-good ambience. High-quality materials, meticulous craftsmanship and a modern design create a yacht-style atmosphere of exclusivity and comfort. The customized, breathable and electronically adjustable seats offer optimum comfort on short and long journeys. The dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, which can also be controlled via the multifunctional touchscreen in the rear, ensures a pleasant indoor climate. The latter also allows passengers in the rear seats to operate the electric sun blinds.

The 1.9-square-metre panoramic sunroof is best-in-class and gives every passenger the feeling of sitting directly beneath the sky. Additionally, the Deepal S07 offers plenty of space for luggage and everyday items with its 510 to 1,250-litre luggage compartment and 125 litre frunk, its 28 well thought-out storage compartments and generous door compartments. The Deepal S07 features interior door open buttons as well as flush-mounted door handles that extend automatically via a contactless sensor system. This modern electronic door opening technology combines convenience with modern design and emphasizes the premium claim of the model.

Performance that is powered by electricity

The Deepal S07 is equipped with a powerful 79.97 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a solid range of up to 475 km (WLTP). Additionally, the Deepal S07 is equipped with a self-developed vehicle-cloud AI machine learning intelligent diagnostic algorithm, achieving 24-hour battery voltage and temperature monitoring.

The Deepal S07's electric motor delivers powerful acceleration and a dynamic driving experience, completing the 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The pure electric power system with a single motor layout can provide a maximum power of 217 horsepower and a maximum torque of 320 Nm to meet daily driving needs and good acceleration performance.

Driving fun for young-hearted and tech-savvy drivers

The Changan Deepal S07 is currently available in eight European countries. By the end of 2025, Changan plans to be present in more than ten European markets, including Italy and Spain. As is the case with all Changan vehicles in Europe, the Deepal S07 comes with a seven-year/160,000-kilometre warranty and an eight-year/200,000-kilometre battery warranty.
