Warsaw – During the official presentation of the Changan model range in Poland, the Changan CS55 PLUS was unveiled – a compact C-segment SUV that combines a distinctive, urban-inspired design, extensive technological features, and a high level of everyday comfort. The model aligns with the brand's strategy of offering technologically advanced cars in the mainstream segment.
The Changan CS55 PLUS was designed for customers looking for a modern SUV for city driving and longer journeys, combining functionality, safety, and digital features typical of higher segments.[CM1] The Changan CS55 PLUS is one of five models from the brand that will be available in Poland, forming a full-spectrum mobility portfolio spanning three powertrain technologies.
Design inspired by the city and light
One of the most distinctive elements of the CS55 Plus is its styling, inspired by urban architecture, bridges, and the dynamics of light.
Distinctive features are:
- a frameless "River Waves" grille, inspired by the movement of water and urban geometry,
- LED headlights with a disc-shaped structure of 24 diodes, referencing the light of monuments and architecture,
- LED taillights inspired by bridges, creating a chain-of-light effect,
- 19-inch rims styled after bridge structures.
The entire design creates a cohesive substance in which light and architectural form are key elements of the vehicle's visual identity.
Advanced 540° camera system
Changan CS55 Plus is equipped with a 540° HD camera system, including a surround-view camera and a "transparent underbody" function, allowing for observation of the space directly beneath the vehicle.
The system supports the driver in maneuvering in tight urban spaces, parallel and perpendicular parking, driving on uneven surfaces and steep inclines.
The system's rapid activation and integration into everyday driving scenarios make it a key tool for driving comfort.
Modern BlueCore® drive
The model is powered by a 1.5T BlueCore® petrol engine with 350 bar direct injection, generating 280 Nm of torque and 133 kW of power.
The engine is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch, [CM1] resulting in smooth and efficient drivetrain operation.
Key performance figures:
- 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8.3 seconds,
- torque available from just 1500 rpm,
- WLTP fuel consumption of 7.69 l/100 km.
This system ensures good dynamics in city traffic and stable performance on the highway, while maintaining economical operation.

Digital cockpit and multimedia system
Changan CS55 Plus's interior is based on a modern digital architecture, featuring two main screens: a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch central screen.
The entire system is supported by the multimedia system with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of memory, ensuring smooth operation of vehicle functions.
The system offers, among other things:
- wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,
- voice control,
- smart modes (e.g., car wash mode),
- online app and function center,
- multimedia and entertainment connectivity.
This is complemented by an 8-speaker audio system and the ability to personalize vehicle settings.
Comfort and functionality in everyday use
Changan CS55 Plus was designed as a practical SUV for everyday use, offering great flexibility and space.
Key features:
- 475-liter trunk (up to 1,415 liters with the seats folded),
- 23 practical storage compartments in the cabin,
- electric tailgate with a hands-free function,
- roof rails with a load capacity of up to 35 kg.
The interior is designed in a "city home" style, with a wrap-around cockpit that enhances the feeling of space and comfort.
Safety and Driver Assistance Systems
The CS55 Plus is equipped with an extensive ADAS package, including: Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA, LDW, ELK), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Reverse Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and Intelligent High Beam.
These systems support the driver in various road conditions, enhancing safety and driving comfort. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a 540° camera, a six-airbag system, and an "Ark Cage" body structure.
A new option in the SUV segment
The Changan CS55 Plus represents a modern approach to C-segment vehicle design, combining advanced technologies, extensive safety features, and a distinctive, architectural design.
This model is a key element of Changan's strategy to enter the Polish market with a full-spectrum mobility portfolio spanning three powertrain technologies, bridging the gap between full electrification and conventional driving and reflecting the market’s broad mobility needs.
Price and availability in Poland
The Changan CS55 PLUS will go on sale on the Polish market with a starting price of PLN 129,900. The model will be available from the brand’s official partners in Poland – the Bemo Group, the PGD Group and Matsuoka Motor. As part of the expansion of its sales network, Changan plans to open a total of 23 showrooms in 17 cities across the country, providing customers with widespread access to the range and after-sales service.
The model comes with a seven-year warranty covering 160,000 kilometres and a twelve-year warranty against perforation corrosion.
