Warsaw – Changan, one of China's largest car manufacturers, is continuing to consistently implement its strategy for a long-term presence in Europe. The company, which has more than 40 years of experience in vehicle production, has identified its entry into the European market as an important milestone for its international growth.
As a next step, Changan has confirmed that Poland will be the next country where the brand will be officially launched. Changan´s entry into the Polish market, planned for the next few weeks, is in line with its long-term strategy of establishing a stable and credible presence in Europe – based on experience, proprietary technologies and strong local partnerships.
Negotiations with local sales and service partners are currently nearing completion. The prerequisite for Changan's market launch is not only a comprehesive sales network, but also the existence of a complete after-sales and service infrastructure.
“Poland is a strong entry point for Changan in Europe - and a natural fit for our ‘in Europe, for Europe’ approach. With 38 million consumers and growing openness to electrified vehicles and new brands, the market shows clear momentum. Registrations of Chinese brands reached almost 50,000 in 2025, which lift the YOY increase of almost 360%. Today, ‘Made in China’ stands for technology, comfort and quality - values Changan brings to Polish customers based on 4 decades of automaking history and 20 years of European design and engineering experience,” says Eyang Wang, Country Director Changan Poland.
Changan currently is present in 16 European markets and has already many years of experience in Europe. The company established its European Design Centre in Turin, Italy, back in 2001. The vehicles developed there are tailored to European customer expectations and combine global innovation with European design. The company strengthened its ties with Europe in 2010 by opening its own research and development centre in the United Kingdom, which is now based in Birmingham.
The development of outstanding technological components such as platforms for electric cars and battery management systems is one of the core tasks of Changan's 16 research and development centres worldwide. The company also cooperates with renowned international partners. This makes it possible to implement promising innovations in a short period of time.
In 2025, Changan produced 2.9 million vehicles, including more than one million new energy vehicles. The brand ranks among the four largest car manufacturers in its home market of China.
